Area Fora
Representatives are elected onto Sligo County Community Forum through five different area fora. These forum areas correspond to the five different electoral areas in County Sligo
- Sligo-Drumcliffe electoral area
- Sligo-Strandhill electoral area
- Enniscrone electoral area
- Ballymote electoral area
- Tubbercurry electoral area

Upcoming Elections to the County Community Forum
It is planned that new elections to the county community forum will be held in April and May 2009. To qualify for elections, community groups need to be registered with the County Community Forum (registration form download).
News of the various elections in each area will be advertised here on the website, in our newsletter and in the local notes pages of the newspapers. Guidelines for elections to the County Community Forum have been developed so that forums can be more informed to help them decide on the best way forward for their forum.
It is a goal of the County Community Forum in 2009 to help to develop more active community fora in all of the electoral areas. Our development worker will be organising meetings and activities in each of the forum areas.
