DRUMCLIFFE CAR PARK

Drumcliffe attracts in excess of 100,000 visitors per year and the heavy visitor numbers to Yeats Grave places the environmental setting of the attraction at risk.  An independent survey conducted in the late nineties indicated that visitors (sightseers and culturalists) would spend more time in the area if more facilities were available to them. This project aimed to provide for a designated car-park to cater for the increase tourist numbers to Drumcliff consisting of the provision of soft landscaping and upgrading works to the Carpark which will further enhance the physical presentation of the area.
