What Is Sligo Comhairle na nÓg Meeting

Comhairle na nÓg Shligigh is a council made up of young people aged between 12 & 18 years, elected by their peers to identify issues and carry out specific actions in response to young peoples needs in County Sligo.
 

Why Take Part?

• Comhairle na nÓg Shligigh enables and encourages young people to speak out and be heard.
• It acts as a platform for young people to input their views and needs into local policy and decision making.
• Members of Comhairle na nÓg link with and make recommendations to adult committees with an aim of bringing about positive
• change for young people
• Members of Comhairle na nÓg Shligigh represent County Sligo each year at Dail na nOg (National Young Persons Parliment) in Dublin.
